5/27/14 I’M SO TIRED. Too tired to capitalize or spell correctly or care. Did I mention the sapsucker thatis digging into the corner o the bulding? Drove up to a cell tower 45 min away to text. Visited the country store. Bought coffee but really wanted some bread, eggs and butter. I just won’t buy Tillamook butter for over $5. So I only bought coffee since you don’t need butter for coffee.
5/28/14 Brought lemons from Vics backyard. They were all on the ground; blown down from their neighbors tree during a harsh wind. They have traveled with me to WY. Yellowstone. J It rained today. Not much. It was so windy the stop signs were blown over. Scared me so I jumped. Then I laughed. Krystal went out to right the sign and when she stepped out of the booth her hat was blown clean off. It rolled away from the entrance at top speed losing the band after the 3rd roll. The band went one way and the hat another. She ran after it and we both couldn’t stop laughing. The hat kept rolling on the edge of the brim and for a split second I thought it might actually get away! Imagine a ranger hat flying away in the air like a wild kite.
Where would it go, see, experience?
5/29/14 Soup done. It’s like minestrone without any pasta. Going to add those OC lemons when I eat it. My gawd pasta is just a big ole calorie bomb. And then it sticks in your teeth and turns into sugar. Bacteria eat the sugar and poop out enzymes or some such thing that eats away at your enamel and causes cavities. I don’t love pasta that much. It’s good, but now that I know what fills me up also makes me FAT and toothless well maybe I’ll just put it aside for now. I’ll just use the rest of my pasta sauce for making soups. I love the soups and they are filling without 10 million calories blimping a person out and robbing you of your teeth. And you can go to hell too pesto!
Just missed seeing some grizzlies today.
My hair is so straight and flat. I like it. It just dries and dries and dries straight and straighter and straighterer…
6/2/14 Drove to Cody on Saturday. I am excited about hopefully going to at least one rodeo in July or August. The drive there was fabulous! Beautiful formations and it was storming. There’s the Buffalo Bill dam and visitor center which I unfortunately missed. And the Buffalo Bill center. I think it’s a museum/art/educational type organization. Wild Bill Cody everywhere. The storm was so RAINY and BLUSTERY. I swear Wyoming has some of the nastiest lightning bolts I’ve ever seen. It makes California’s lightning look dainty by comparison. I mean it zig zag bolted down with such force it made contact with the ground for awhile! And it kept hitting in the same location. The lightning bolt made damn sure the point of contact was made WELL. If you can’t get a picture of a lightning bolt in Wyoming then you just aren’t paying attention.
Today I drove to The Geyser Basins. Watched Old Faithful, walked around Upper geyser Basin and then around Midway geyser basin. Pretty awesome colors in those geysers. I saw a Big horn sheep!!!! And lotsa Bison. You know those Lotsa Bison. I think they’re from Tibet.
6/7/14 Had a Buffalo Burger from Pehaska TeePees. Very good! I am going to Cody tomorrow to get my internet fix. I am addicted. Yup. Sigh… Pehaska is Wild Bill Codys Sioux name.
6/8/14 So, I read all my library books in 2 weeks. I’m out now. They were supposed to last until mid August.
6/9/14 I started knitting a Cable Sweater. The last rain we had dropped some snow in the upper
elevations (10,000’). Bison, huge uglies, are the neatest creatures. The
Grizzly was almost anti-climactic when I saw it. I was like “meh” lets go. But
I can’t stop taking pics of the Bison. They are so weird. Big. Skinny legs.
Huge chest, neck, head. They remind me of Will Sampson. Have you ever seen
“One Flies Over the Cuckoos Nest”?
